Phil Sauvé Hand & Wrist Surgery
Personalised, evidence-based care
Mr Philip Sauvé is a UK fellowship trained consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in providing quality treatment of hand and wrist problems. He consults patients privately at the Spire Portsmouth Hospital. Mr Sauvé is also a NHS consultant and clinical director for trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
During your consultation, Mr Sauvé will assess you and arrange further investigations such as imaging, if required. This can often be done at the same clinic visit. He will discuss your condition with you and help guide you to the best treatment options tailored to your individual requirements.
Depending on your diagnosis, treatment may be conservative in the form of advice, splints or hand therapy or require intervention such as injections or surgery.
Mr Sauvé undertakes up to date, evidence based, hand and wrist surgery including:
Carpal tunnel injections and releases (open and endoscopic)
Trigger finger injections and releases (minimally invasive releases by radiology)
Surgery for small joint arthritis of the hand and wrist (including injections, joint replacements and fusions)
Dupuytren’s contracture treatment (minimally invasive needle aponeurotomy and traditional fasciectomy surgery)
Keyhole surgery of the wrist (arthroscopy)
General hand and wrist trauma including distal radius, scaphoid and finger fractures.
